Seller Wallet and Getting Paid
Selling on Motohub is simple, and getting paid is straightforward. Learn when you get paid, how funds are released, and what can affect your payout timeline.
When do I get paid?
Motohub releases your funds 72 hours after carrier-confirmed delivery, unless a buyer reports an issue. If the buyer rates the transaction earlier, funds may be released sooner.
This 72-hour window helps ensure a fair and smooth experience for both parties by giving the buyer a short period to confirm the item arrived as expected.
What is my seller wallet?
Once an order is completed, the funds will be transferred to your wallet. You can spend these funds or withdraw them anytime.
• Pending: Funds from orders that have not completed yet.
• Available: Funds from completed orders that can be withdrawn.
How long to transfer to my bank account?
Motohub uses Stripe, a trusted and secure payment partner, to issue payouts to sellers. Payout timing can vary depending on your bank and account verification status.
First payout delay:
Your first payout may take 7–10 business days while Stripe verifies your account and banking information. This one-time delay ensures your information is properly verified before funds are released.
Ongoing payouts:
After your first payout, most transfers are issued on a rolling 2–3 day schedule after funds are released. You’ll continue to receive payouts automatically to your linked bank account.
Bank holidays and weekends may affect timing. You can track payout status and timing directly from your Seller Dashboard → Payouts.
What about taxes?
Sales Tax
Sellers do not need to worry about sales tax. Motohub automatically collects this from the buyer and remits it to the government.
Income Tax
If you meet certain thresholds, Motohub or Stripe may issue you a Form 1099-K to help your tax reporting. We recommend consulting a tax professional for questions.
What if a return is requested?
If the buyer requests a return or reports an issue within the 72-hour window:
The order is temporarily put on hold
You will have a chance to review the return reason
If approved, you'll receive the item back and the buyer will be refunded
Personal Reason Returns
If the return is for a Personal Reason (e.g., doesn't fit), the buyer pays for return shipping and payment processing fees.
Product Issue Returns
If the return is due to a Product Issue (e.g., damaged, misrepresented), those costs are deducted from your seller balance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get paid faster?
Buyers who rate the transaction before the 72-hour window ends will trigger an earlier release of funds.
What if the buyer never responds?
If no return or rating is submitted within 72 hours of delivery, the sale is marked complete automatically.
Where can I track my payout?
Go to your Seller Dashboard → Payouts to see upcoming and completed transfers.
Why does Motohub hold my funds temporarily?
Motohub holds funds for 72 hours after delivery so buyers have a chance to make sure the item arrived and is as described. This process protects buyers and keeps the platform running smoothly. If the buyer confirms everything sooner, your payout is released early.
